Presentation Reflection

I didn't think that the presentation was that bad cause i knew what i was talking about the only thing is trying to explain what i know with kids but overall it wasn't that bad. i would do it again i really didn't mind presenting. presenting helps so that you are more confident and its a skill that will help you get far in the workforce.

School board gives OK to reduce work force - if needed

Gaston County Board of Education gave Superindent Reeves McGlohon the power to make reduction in the school system by force if neccessary. the article said that their will be a cut in the work force as well that will affect both certified and classified workers. also their will be a 225 million dollar budget cut between grades 4-12 all across the state. So things are going to get tougher for the younger kids i only have one more year of school so im not worried about it as much but still its something people should be worried about. cause if they start making cuts in the school system then there is a chance that the students are the ones who are going to be affected by it. less money in schools might mean less quality education and that not good at all.

Career Ready 101

In the Career Ready 101 interests survey showed that i was investigative so that will help me in my future career cause ill be a computer engineer and computer engineers have to fix computers and find out what is wrong with the computer therfore they need to have investigative skills to figure out the problem of the computer so that really helps me out.

How to Answer Interview Questions

An article on CNN called "43 Weird Things Said In Job Interviews" showed me that i shouldn't say dumb things in interviews and actually think before i say something and how i say something may affect me getting the job. like this comment: "[A] guy said he did not have a mailing address, as he was living in a gypsy camp at the airport." Yeah... thats a no no.

Know for interview

The best thing that any person could do for an interview is be prepared. dress properly for thye interview but not to flashy that the they're the only thing that people notice. also you should be their about 15 minutes before the interview is scheduled and be nice and respectful to the recepcionsist. also be sure to research about the company you are applying to so that if they ask you certain questions you'll be able to give adequate answers. if you do ask questions make sure they are based on the info you researched. and remember be confident but not arrogant and be polite
